Meet the dedicated volunteers who make our annual youth leadership camps a transformative experience.
Every year, TEI's Youth Leadership Camps bring together 150 young people from across East Africa for a week of mentorship, skills building, and community action planning. Behind the scenes, a team of 25 volunteer facilitators makes it all happen.
From curriculum design to logistics coordination, these volunteers contribute hundreds of hours to ensure campers leave with actionable plans for community projects. Many are alumni of the program themselves.
"Volunteering with TEI changed my career path," says James, a camp facilitator and former participant. "Now I run my own social enterprise supporting rural farmers."
